How to Install a Universal Car Seat Towel Cover in Seconds

Step-by-step instructions for installing a universal towel-style car seat protector with an integrated headrest pocket.

Installation should be simple

A towel-style seat protector should not require tools or disassembly. The EFHIPS design uses an integrated headrest pocket so the main installation step is simply positioning the cover correctly.

Step 1: position the headrest pocket

Stand beside the open door and identify the integrated pocket at the top of the towel. Slip that pocket over the top of the seat or compatible headrest area.

Step 2: pull the body downward

Let the main body fall over the seatback and cushion. Pull it downward until the upper section sits smoothly and the lower section covers the seating area.

Step 3: smooth the sides

Adjust the left and right edges so they sit naturally over the seat. The goal is broad coverage without bunching fabric under the driver.

Step 4: check pedals and controls

Before driving, confirm that no fabric interferes with the seat rails, seat-belt buckle, pedals, handbrake, gear selector or any seat controls.

Remove just as quickly

When you no longer need the protector, lift it off, fold or roll it, and place it back in the included mesh bag.
